Quality Dog Grooming in Deeping St James, Lincs (near Peterborough)

I'm Katie and I have been in the dog world for over thirty years. Grooming, breeding, showing and managing boarding kennels.

When your dog comes to be pampered at Katie's K9's, they will receive my undivided attention from the time they arrive to the time they leave as I only have one dog in the salon at a time. This can be particularly beneficial to nervous dogs, all dogs are dried on the table and not in a drying cabinet.

I first started grooming and styling dogs in the 1980’s. I underwent high quality training and groomed dogs alongside the boarding business.
Over the years I have shown various breeds with success at top level championship shows. I have specialised in the hound group, notably Afghan hounds, Pharaoh hounds and Basenjis. The toy group with Cavalier King Charles spaniels and Maltese terriers. I have also owned bearded collies.

I am currently showing my wirehaired Hungarian Vizsla, Whisper. Hopefully 2012 will see the patter of tiny paws.

I am also owned by a Whippet and a smooth coated Viszla (Willow & Shakira)

and last but not least, here is the salon mascot, the delightful Miniature Poodle, Anya.

I am familiar with how different breeds are styled as I am constantly studying them at the shows. Although I am now specialising in the gundog group, I also make time to attend shows on other group days and watch all the breeds in action.
I returned to the job that I love i.e. dog grooming in 2010 working in my own salon.
Over the years dog grooming has moved with the times and techniques and equipment changes constantly. I regularly attend refresher courses and grooming seminars to ensure that I keep up with the best practises and products. I have in July 2011 been privileged to attend a two day seminar given by the world famous dog groomer, Melissa Verplank from the USA.
Your dog’s health and safety is paramount whilst in my care which is why in 2011 I also became a licensed First Aid First Responder for Dogs.
